This is her first leading role since her debut in 1978, and she cited the screenplay as the reason for choosing the project. Kim Hye-ok said, "'Flowing Journey' shows the possibility that neighbors can share family affection."She continued, "I think I was destined to be a part of 'Flowing Journey.' I joined without hesitation," adding, "Rather than acting the character, I filmed while recalling my own past days and emotions. It's similar to the environments I've lived in."Justin Min plays Min-jun, a conductor who was adopted to Germany as a child and returns to Korea to find his birth mother. He, challenging his first leading role in a Korean feature film, described the work as "a beautiful story" and defined it as "a wonderful portrayal of a family made with heart. It's a process of connection between people who have lost someone."Park Dae-ho, who is making his acting debut with 'Flowing Journey,' plays Seong-chan, a pianist hopeful. Park Dae-ho said, "I did my best to blend in naturally," and expressed his gratitude, "I was able to successfully complete the difficult scenes thanks to the help of the director and senior actors."As a current pianist, he performed most of the piano pieces used in the film himself. Park Dae-ho said, "When I usually perform, I focus on the completeness of the piece. But as an actor, I thought more deeply about the character's emotions while playing."The film 'Flowing Journey' will be released on October 28th. /Jin Jin Pictures'Flowing Journey' is one of the rare domestic films to be released with subtitles. This is due to director Kim Jin-yu's intention to be considerate of the deaf community. He said, "I grew up with deaf parents," and confessed, "I've always felt regret about the issue of deaf families not being able to watch Korean films simultaneously with their release."Therefore, subtitles were considered from the production stage of 'Flowing Journey.' Director Kim Jin-yu explained, "We decided to add subtitles with the distributor's consent, hoping that deaf families could enjoy our film from its release."At the same time, he also mentioned the importance of music. Director Kim Jin-yu said, "A song composed by Chun-hee's husband, who was deaf, appears. We intentionally emphasized the low-frequency range so that the theater could shake. I wanted to create a cinematic experience that can only be felt in a theater."Finally, they touched upon the meaning they wanted to convey to the audience with 'Flowing Journey.' Director Kim Jin-yu said, "I hope it becomes a time for the audience, living in a harsh world, to rest." Kim Hye-ok wished, "I hope it becomes a work that conveys warmth for a long time, like a song heard in the morning that lingers throughout the day."Justin Min said, "After watching the movie, I hope you can empathize with the difficulties of strangers," adding, "Nothing is more powerful than connection and empathy." Park Dae-ho emphasized, "I hope you find comfort in 'Flowing Journey'," and stressed, "It awakens the inner warmth that has been buried."'Flowing Journey,' which won the Korean Directors' Guild Plus M Award and the KBS Independent Film Award at the 30th Busan International Film Festival, will be released on October 28th.mcy21@tf.co.kr[Entertainment Department | ssent@tf.co.kr]
