AHOF’s Cha Woongki Becomes a ‘Weather Fairy’ on JTBC’s Morning News

The singer delivered the nationwide forecast as a guest weather presenter on Morning&, ending his October 16 appearance with a playful sign-off.

Cha Woongki traded the music stage for the weather map on October 16.

The AHOF member appeared as a one-day weather presenter on JTBC’s morning news program Morning&, guiding viewers through temperatures across South Korea and the outlook for the weekend.

He brought a familiar brightness to the assignment, closing the segment by introducing himself as the day’s “weather fairy.”

A Different Kind of Morning Appearance

Before beginning the forecast, Cha shared a brief update on AHOF’s activities.

He said the group had greeted fans with a new album in July and that members were now showing different sides of themselves through individual projects.

For his own appearance, he promised viewers something beyond his usual stage performances: a turn at presenting the weather.

According to Sports Kyunghyang’s account of the broadcast, Cha used a steady tone and clear diction as he moved through the forecast.

From Commuting Temperatures to the Weekend Outlook

The segment covered regional temperature changes from the morning commute through the warmer hours of the day, as well as the weekend weather.

The assignment called for a different delivery from a music performance or entertainment appearance. Cha kept the information at the center of the segment while allowing his personality to emerge in the introduction and closing.

He finished with a pose and the sign-off, “This has been your weather fairy, Cha Woongki,” giving the news appearance a lighthearted ending.

Building Experience Beyond the Stage

The broadcast added another format to Cha’s work outside AHOF’s music activities.

Sports Kyunghyang noted his experience as a music-show host, radio DJ and variety-show guest. The weather segment placed those presenting skills in a news setting, where clarity and pacing were particularly important.

His agency, F&F Entertainment, had announced the guest appearance ahead of the broadcast.

AHOF has also been expanding its activities through fashion-week appearances, university festivals and soundtrack projects, according to the report.

Editor’s Note: Who Are AHOF?

AHOF is a nine-member multinational boy group formed through SBS’s competition program Universe League. The group debuted on July 1, 2025, with the mini album Who We Are.

F&F Entertainment’s official artist profile identifies Cha, whose stage name is WOONGKI, as one of the group’s nine members.

That background gives the morning-news appearance another point of interest. Viewers encountering Cha through the forecast were seeing an artist from a performance-focused group take on an individual broadcasting assignment.

His “weather fairy” farewell connected the two settings, bringing a little idol-stage playfulness to the end of a practical morning forecast.
