BTS, Exclusive First TV Broadcast of November 28th TBS Tokyo Dome Concert in Japan

The live performance of BTS at Tokyo Dome will be exclusively broadcast on Japanese TV this November. Japanese TBS announced that on November 28 at 8 PM, it will air for the first time on TV exclusively the footage from the first day of BTS’s concert held at Tokyo Dome on April 17, titled ″BTS WORLD TOUR ’ARIRANG’ IN JAPAN,″ on ″TBS Channel 1 Latest Drama, Music, Movies.″ The concert drew 110,000 spectators over two days, and a key stage moment features the audience singing the Korean folk song ″Arirang″ in unison when the track ″Body to Body″ from the fifth studio album ″ARIRANG″ was performed. Throughout November, TBS will air a special program series titled ″BTS Special ~Precious New Chapter~,″ showcasing 28 BTS-related programs including concerts, variety shows, and movies. BTS stated that the broadcast is a recording of the April 17 concert and that the team’s activities will be highlighted through various content. The ″Arirang″ chorus scene at the Tokyo Dome concert also attracted attention from Japanese media. Magazine SPUR described the moment when the song echoed through the venue as ″an overwhelming spectacle that can only be described as breathtaking,″ while Real Sound interpreted the folk song’s sentiment as aligning with the album’s message. TBS also noted that the music demonstrated the power to unite people from different backgrounds. Additionally, during BTS’s world tour, fans from various countries joined in singing ″Arirang,″ which is embedded in ″Body to Body.″ Mexican media Infobae cited the ″Arirang″ chorus as one of the most impressive moments from the local concert held in May. At the Munich concert in Germany, approximately 70,000 attendees passionately sang ″Arirang,″ and French newspaper Le Monde reported that the audience sang along in Korean without language barriers. After completing concerts in Santiago, Chile on the 14th and 16th-17th (local time), BTS will continue their South American tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and São Paulo, Brazil. Meanwhile, BTS recently declined to submit entries for the ″Best Asian Pop Music Performance″ category at the 2027 Grammy Awards. Subsequently, artists from the four major agencies—Hybe, SM, JYP, and YG—also did not submit songs for this category.
