NMIXX enters Melon Top 5 just one day after releasing mini album 6, 'Strange Muse'

NMIXX began their comeback activities by releasing their sixth mini-album ’Strange Muse’ and the title track ’Birthday Wish’ on the 19th. The new song entered the Melon Top 100 chart at number 34 at 7 PM on the day of release, marking the group’s highest entry ranking, and rose to number 5 by midnight on the 20th. To celebrate the comeback, NMIXX held a countdown live broadcast on their official SNS channel at 4:10 PM on the 19th. The broadcast was themed around finding a missing celebration cake and featured various segments such as games where members competed in telepathy and quick thinking, birthday gift recommendations based on fans’ stories, album unboxing, and introductions to the tracks. The members ended the comeback commemorative broadcast by lighting candles and making wishes. This album includes three unit songs sung by pairs of members as well as group songs. Lily and Haewon explained about ’Sing to the Moon,’ ″Since it is a song open to various interpretations, we hope listeners immerse themselves in the emotions while listening from their own perspectives.″ Seolyun and Bae introduced ’Hot ’n Unbothered’ as ″a song that brings out the synergy and atmosphere when the two of us are together.″ Jiwoo and Kyujin said about ’WHIP,’ ″It was a difficult song both when we first heard it and during recording, but we did well. We put a lot of effort into it and participated directly in the production, making it more meaningful.″ In addition to the title track, the group songs include ’Kerosene’ and ’RudE TaLK.’ During the live broadcast, the members shared key points for appreciating each song and spent time interacting with fans. NMIXX greeted fans by saying, ″We prepared for the comeback with lots of love. We hope this activity will fulfill all our long wishes, and we will happily do our best, so please give us lots of support.″ They added, ″We hope this autumn will be a season when all the wishes of NMIXX and Answer (fandom name: NSWER) come true.″
