Im Jin-mo praises "BTS, 9 Billboard No.1 songs... K-POP revolution"

Music critic Im Jin-mo and broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk expressed their support for BTS and Stray Kids’ declaration to boycott the Grammys. On the 21st, Im Jin-mo appeared on the 365th episode of tvN’s ″You Quiz on the Block″ and spoke about the global popularity of K-POP, calling BTS’s achievement as the first Korean artist to reach number one on Billboard a ″K-POP revolution.″ He emphasized BTS’s accomplishments by saying, ″Bob Dylan, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature, has no number one hits. BTS has a total of seven, and including solo songs, nine number one hits.″ Yoo Jae-suk agreed, saying, ″I have always thought BTS was amazing, but they are incredible.″ The broadcast also covered the incident of BTS and Stray Kids boycotting the Grammy Awards. Im Jin-mo criticized the Grammys’ move to create an Asian pop category, saying, ″It’s not a main award, so they want to push them into this category. Constantly dividing genres causes genre ghettoization. It’s not acceptable.″ He also expressed support for BTS and Stray Kids by saying, ″It was refreshing to hear their declaration that they want to make music that reaches people beyond race and nationality.″ Yoo Jae-suk also said, ″That’s a great expression. I support BTS Stray Kids. They are cool.″
