Director Kim Yeon-Koung unveils the 14-player roster for 'Winning Wonder Dogs' Season 2... Coaches Seungkwan, Yoon Bong-woo, and Lee Hyo-hee join the team

MBC variety show ’Rookie Director Kim Yeon-Koung2’ released the fourth poster on the 21st featuring Director Kim Yeon-Koung, PR team leader Seungkwan, and 14 players together. This poster captures Director Kim Yeon-Koung giving instructions to the players, PR team leader Seungkwan cheering with both arms raised, and the players performing actual game actions. ’Rookie Director Kim Yeon-Koung2’ is a program depicting Kim Yeon-Koung’s challenge as a director to establish the ’Winning Wonder Dogs.’ This season, Yoon Bong-woo and Lee Hyo-hee joined as coaches. The program showed the tryouts with 64 applicants and the player selection process by position, where Director Kim Yeon-Koung personally selected players for positions such as outside hitter, opposite spiker, setter, middle blocker, and libero. The first match was a Korea-Japan revenge game. The ’Winning Wonder Dogs’ second team includes both existing players and newly joined players. The outside hitters are Baek Chae-rim, Inkushi, Han Song-hee, Lee Ye-eun, and Ji Min-kyung. Lee Ye-eun is a player who left a strong impression with powerful serves during Director Kim Yeon-Koung’s playing days. Ji Min-kyung previously played for the Hyundai Engineering & Construction Hillstate volleyball team. Opposite spiker Yoon Young-in rejoined following season 1. Setters Kim Da-sol and Ha Hyo-rim are in charge, both aiming to return to the professional stage. The liberos are Seo Yoo-kyung and Chae Sun-ah, and the middle blockers are Kim Bo-bin, Lee Ye-dam, and Lee Ho-bin. Hwang Yeon-joo also joined the team; she is the inaugural V-League Rookie of the Year and holds several records including a triple crown and MVP awards. Although her playing opportunities decreased toward the end of her career leading to retirement, she has returned to the court through this program. This season introduced a rule allowing the team roster to change based on game results. After each match, the director and coaching staff can request player releases or pursue new player acquisitions with the front office, so the current 14 selected players may change depending on future game outcomes. ’Rookie Director Kim Yeon-Koung2’ airs every Sunday at 9:10 PM. It previously ranked first in the Sunday variety show 2054 viewership ratings for two consecutive weeks.
