Street Art Attack Vol.01, Participants Exchange Experiences and Thoughts on 'Romance'

Members of ALPHA DRIVE ONE shared various thoughts and experiences about everyday romance through the project ″Street Art Attack Vol. 01: About Romance.″ They talked about their own definitions of romance and moments they feel in daily life, sharing ways to find small happiness even amid busy schedules. The members mentioned romantic moments such as eating delicious food together after work, listening to music while looking at a clear sky, and reminiscing about paths traveled by bicycle. They also expressed feeling romance in spontaneous activities like flying a kite suddenly or riding a bike along the Han River at dawn. Through visiting the market, the members gained inspiration by experiencing various foods and goods. Conversations with merchants at the market included opinions on the charm of the fashion street and the unique atmosphere of the market. The members said they enjoyed various foods such as pizza rice cake, twisted doughnuts, and traditional tea at the market, which gave them ideas to express those experiences through drawings. One member said romance is ″enjoying unnecessary things,″ while another said romance is needed when wanting to find oneself amid a busy life. Market merchants also cited young people enjoying music, dance, and shopping as romance. One merchant replied, ″Romance is not something I think about. I just work.″ Inspired by the market, the members also drew pictures themselves and spent time expressing their feelings and experiences through art. At the end of the project, everyone shared food together and prepared to capture the abundant energy of romance in their paintings.
