YENA, Japanese Ai Otsuka's 'Sakuranbo' Remake... Music Released on the 17th

YENA will remake Japanese singer Ai Otsuka’s hit song ″Sakuranbo (さくらんぼ)″ and release it on various music platforms at 6 PM on November 17. Originally released in 2003, ″Sakuranbo″ is a song loved for its upbeat melody and highly addictive chorus. Ahead of the remake, YENA sequentially released teaser images on official SNS. The teasers, starting from the 14th, featured a glass filled with cherries, a cellphone image reminiscent of Japanese animation and magical girls, along with the phrase ″SAKURANBO″ and the release date. The third teaser, released on the 21st, created a kitschy atmosphere centered around a pixelated gacha machine, with various objects such as stars, cherries, ribbons, moons, and hearts. On the 24th, a moving teaser was released showing YENA’s character emerging from a capsule inside the gacha machine, and on the 26th, the object teaser emphasized the song’s lovely concept with red colors centered on cherries, desserts, ribbons, stars, and other decorations. Recently, YENA appeared on the YouTube channel ″Heartwarming Hyung Shin Dong-yeop″ alongside Gangnam and Roy Kim, personally announcing participation in the ″Sakuranbo″ remake. At the event, Gangnam mentioned, ″The person who fits (Sakuranbo) best in Korea.″ Having shown their unique style through bright, kitschy music and distinctive concepts, attention is focused on how the original song’s lively energy will blend with YENA’s unique charm in this remake.
