BTS RM, Over 140 Collected Works Gathered Over 10 Years Exhibited at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

Over 140 pieces of artwork personally collected by BTS RM are being exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) in the United States. This exhibition marks the first time a K-pop singer’s art collection is showcased at SFMOMA, with RM participating as a co-curator and directly contributing to the exhibition’s arrangement. RM has been collecting artworks for over ten years based on his deep affection for art, and through this exhibition, he focused on introducing the Korean contemporary art he loves to the world. The exhibition space features not only the artworks carefully selected by RM but also background music chosen by him, allowing visitors to experience the stories and emotions embedded in the pieces more vividly through RM’s voice, as if listening to a radio. Big Hit Music stated that this event holds significant meaning beyond a simple art exhibition, as RM’s influence helps widely promote the value of Korean art on the global stage. Taking this exhibition as an opportunity, RM is expanding his artistic scope and interests into a channel for active communication with fans and the public. Meanwhile, RM often appears relaxed in publicly shared photos, dressed in comfortable everyday clothes such as black beanies or gray shirts, showing a serious attitude toward both music and art. Fans are sending enthusiastic interest and support as they observe both his diverse artistic world and everyday life.
