ENA, SBS Plus variety show ’I am SOLO, Love Continues After’ (NaSolSaGye) aired a special episode featuring foreigners on the 29th. In this episode, the foreign female contestants introduced themselves and proceeded to choose their first date partners. Female contestant Jangmi, originally from Mongolia, revealed that she has lived in Korea for over 20 years, graduated from Sookmyung Women’s University with a degree in Life Sciences, and has been working at a pharmaceutical company for nine years. Tulip, holding dual citizenship from Senegal and France, introduced herself as having completed studies at a French business school and Yonsei University Graduate School of Business, and is currently working as a model. Peony, from Qingdao, China, graduated in theater directing and recently started learning to work as an insurance planner. Chrysanthemum, a model and actress with dual citizenship from Latvia and Italy, said she has been in Korea for three years. Lily, a dancer from Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, shared that she came to Korea inspired by the K-pop wave. After hearing the introductions, the male contestants expressed their interests. Kwangsoo from the 14th season showed interest in Lily after her introduction, while Youngho from the 7th season said Peony’s goal-setting and challenging attitude matched his style. Youngsik from the 7th season commented on Peony, saying, ″Everyone is cool except Peony,″ which drew warnings from those around him. Youngho from the 1st season chose Chrysanthemum as his first impression pick but honestly admitted that seeing her tattoos diminished her appeal. After the introductions, the male contestants selected their first date partners among the female contestants. Jangmi was matched with Youngho from the 1st season, and Peony with Youngho from the 7th season. Tulip was chosen by both Kwangsoo from the 14th season and Youngcheol from the 12th season, while Lily paired with Youngsik from the 7th season. Meanwhile, Chrysanthemum was not chosen, becoming the first foreign contestant in ’NaSolSaGye’ to experience solitary dining. In a pre-interview, Chrysanthemum expressed her hope to date Youngho from the 1st season but showed regret as the match did not happen. The date between Youngho from the 1st season and Jangmi ended with a warm atmosphere over a meal, and both reportedly expressed satisfaction.
