On the 29th, the government posthumously awarded the Order of Cultural Merit, Geumgwan (Grade 1), to the late actor Choi Bool-am for his contributions to the development of culture and arts. Meanwhile, the funeral of the deceased, who dedicated over 40 years to child welfare, will be held under the auspices of the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation. The funeral committee includes Chairman Hwang Young-gi, former Prime Ministers Lee Soo-sung and Lee Nak-yon, former lawmaker Hong Moon-jong, Father Kim Sung-eun, Secretary-General Han Il-soo of the National Assembly Research Service, and CEO Yang Ok-kyung.
