ATEEZ performs special show at Deoksugung Palace... First K-pop group to hold a concert there

ATEEZ will be the first K-pop idol group to present a special performance at Deoksugung Palace. This stage will be revealed in the 778th episode of KBS2’s ’Immortal Songs,’ airing on the 31st, and will take place against the backdrop of Seokjojeon Hall at Deoksugung, a site steeped in the history of the Korean Empire’s royal family. This performance corresponds to the second part of the ’2026 Royal Culture Festival’ special prepared by ’Immortal Songs.’ In the second part, ATEEZ, along with BOYNEXTDOOR, NMIXX, Lyn, Lee Seung-gi, Kim Chang-wan Band, and others will take the stage. The first part featured performances by Honey J, xikers, BTOB’s SEO EUN KWANG and Lee Min-hyuk, PARK JI HYUN, Heo Yong-byeol, Song Ga-In, LA POEM, Kim Young-im, and more, showcasing a variety of acts. PARK JI HYUN, who received enthusiastic responses in the first part, will also appear again in the second part. ATEEZ is the first K-pop artist to perform at Seokjojeon Hall in Deoksugung, serving as a bridge between Korea’s cultural heritage and contemporary popular music. Seokjojeon was built after Emperor Gojong proclaimed the Korean Empire in 1897 to display the dignity of the royal family. It is a symbolic place where traditional Korean architecture and modern Western-style architecture coexist. ATEEZ expressed, ″It is meaningful and an honor to be the first K-pop artist to perform at Deoksugung.″ In particular, leader Hongjoong is known to have expressed his desire to introduce the beauty of Korean palaces to overseas fans. The costumes specially made for this performance are designed to evoke the crown prince, blending with the atmosphere of Seokjojeon to add a Korean aesthetic. Despite the cold weather under a cold wave advisory, it is said that ATEEZ took pride in the shoot and participated with dedication. ATEEZ continues their popularity with the new song ″Drip,″ following the title track ″BAD″ from their 14th mini-album ’Golden Hour: Part 5,’ released last June.
