During the initial call, the perpetrator claimed to be an internet and TV installation service center employee, mentioned Jake's family, and approached him under the guise of product information. During this process, the perpetrator tried to obtain additional information by asking for a callback time and leaving a personal contact number. Jake confirmed with his family that this was not true. However, the perpetrator repeatedly attempted to contact Jake afterward and illegally recorded the phone conversations, distributing them on social media. Even after the act became public, the perpetrator is evading responsibility by claiming it was a "business call" and that they were "hacked," while deleting their accounts. In response, Belift Lab has filed a criminal complaint against the perpetrator and requested cooperation from the three major telecommunications companies for identity verification. The agency emphasized, "We clearly state that we will respond strongly with a zero-tolerance policy, without any settlement or leniency, to stalking and illegal personal information leakage that infringes on the artist's privacy and threatens their personal safety."Meanwhile, Enhypen, to which JAY belongs, will release the spin-off single 'THE SIN : PARALLEL WORLD' at 2 p.m. on the 20th. We would like to inform you about Belift Lab's position and response status regarding this matter.1. Incident Progression and DamagesThe perpetrator (hereinafter referred to as 'the perpetrator') attempted to contact the artist's personal phone number multiple times starting in June. During the initial call, the perpetrator claimed to be an internet and TV installation service center employee, mentioned the artist's family, and approached the artist under the guise of product information. During this process, the perpetrator attempted to obtain additional information by asking for a callback time and leaving a personal contact number, deceiving the artist with false information. Upon direct confirmation with the artist's family, the perpetrator's claims were revealed to be false.Subsequently, despite the artist's lack of response, the perpetrator persistently attempted to contact the artist multiple times, continuing the harassment. Furthermore, the perpetrator illegally recorded the phone conversations and distributed them on various platforms such as KakaoTalk, Instagram, and X Spaces. Even after their actions became public, the perpetrator has been evading responsibility by consistently making excuses such as "it was a business call" and "I was hacked," while deleting their accounts. We recognize this incident as a serious situation that goes beyond infringing on the artist's privacy, raising concerns about further damages due to personal information leakage.2. Response Status and PlansWe have determined that the perpetrator's actions, including causing mental distress and anxiety to the artist through continuous contact, luring the artist with false information, and illegally recording and distributing phone conversations, were intentional and malicious. Therefore, we have filed a criminal complaint against the perpetrator. Additionally, we have sent an official document to the three major telecommunications companies requesting cooperation for the perpetrator's identity verification. The support from fans during the course of this legal action has been a great strength.
