J.Black praises Lee Soo-man's choreography directing: "Perfectly hits the key points"

Jay Black revealed that he was deeply impressed by producer Lee Soo-man’s choreography directing skills. In recently released videos on the YouTube channel ’Studio Wagle Wagle’ and tvN’s ’You Quiz on the Block,’ Jay Black shared the process of creating the choreography for A2O LITE’s debut song ’NEON’ and his experience collaborating with Lee Soo-man. Jay Black stated that during the process of creating the choreography for A2O LITE’s ’NEON,’ he was contacted by producer Lee Soo-man to help with choreography for a group consisting of Chinese and Japanese members. Although he was struggling with a back injury at the time, he requested a month to recover, and thanks to the production team’s patience, he was able to participate in the choreography work after rehabilitation. He praised the members’ skills, saying, ″In conclusion, they did well. They are naturally talented. Aiching did especially well.″ Regarding Aiching’s kicking move, Jay Black explained that his original idea was a turn motion where the head lowers and the body rotates sideways, but producer Lee Soo-man modified it to a move where the face remains fixed while kicking upward. Jay Black said, ″Teacher Lee Soo-man personally refined and finalized the move, which is now Aiching’s kick,″ expressing admiration for how it was changed to a point that the public would like. He also mentioned, ″When Teacher Lee Soo-man teaches choreography, he perfectly thinks through the key points. It gave me goosebumps.″ At the early stage of choreography production, producer Lee Soo-man requested more difficult and flashy moves, so Jay Black raised the difficulty and submitted a revised draft. A video showing Lee Soo-man personally explaining the moves to the members in the practice room and even demonstrating the kick was released on Girls’ Generation Sunny’s SNS. Jay Black said, ″This is the first time I’ve created choreography that has received so much love,″ and expressed gratitude toward Siri and Aiching, who performed the challenging choreography, as if they were his daughters. When Yoo Jae-suk asked if he had received many choreography requests after the success of ’NEON,’ he replied, ″Not at all,″ and later mentioned the possibility of collaborating in various styles through his YouTube channel. Meanwhile, A2O LITE is gaining attention by topping the music charts immediately upon debut.
