‘The Remarried Empress’ Rises to Disney+ Chart No. 2

The fantasy romance climbed from seventh to second on FlixPatrol’s worldwide Disney+ TV-show chart between November 4 and 5.

“The Remarried Empress” has climbed to No. 2 on FlixPatrol’s worldwide Disney+ TV-show chart, giving the fantasy romance an early foothold near the top of the platform’s tracked rankings. The series placed seventh on November 4 before moving to second on November 5, according to the tracker’s dated chart pages.

Starring Shin Min-a, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk and Lee Se-young, the drama turns an imperial marriage breakdown into a contest over dignity, desire and political influence. Its early chart movement comes as viewers begin exploring a world where a divorce request becomes the starting point for an empress’s next move.

A Clear Rise Across Two Daily Charts

FlixPatrol’s November 4 chart lists “The Remarried Empress” at No. 7 with 148 points. Its November 5 chart places the series at No. 2 with 638 points, behind “VisionQuest,” establishing the day-to-day change without relying on an undated description of its popularity.

The difference is 490 points, our calculation from the two published totals. Those points should not be read as viewers, streams or hours watched: FlixPatrol describes its charts as rankings based on streaming services’ trending or popular-title lists, rather than presenting the score as a direct audience count.

Our analysis is that the useful takeaway is the speed of the change in chart position. The series moved from the lower half of the top ten to the runner-up slot between consecutive dated lists, but that movement alone cannot reveal how many people completed the opening episodes or whether the same momentum will continue through the full season.

An Empress Refuses to Let Divorce Decide Her Future

According to Wikitree’s report, the story follows Navier, played by Shin Min-a, the empress of the Eastern Empire. Her marriage begins to unravel when Emperor Sovieshu, portrayed by Ju Ji-hoon, falls for Rashta, played by Lee Se-young, and seeks a divorce.

Navier’s response supplies the central reversal: she agrees, but asks for permission to marry Heinrey, the prince of the Western Kingdom played by Lee Jong-suk. That request makes her future a matter of her own choosing, while tying a personal rupture to the relationships between royal households.

The appeal of the announced premise lies in that change of agency. Rather than asking only whether Navier can preserve her marriage, the story asks what she can build after it, giving the romance a political dimension because her next partner belongs to another kingdom. This is our interpretation of the setup, rather than a claim about viewers’ reasons for watching.

Four Leads and a Wider Palace Network

Wikitree’s account of the opening episodes describes tensions growing as Rashta enters the imperial household and Heinrey draws closer to Navier. The relationships bring together different aims, with affection, status and the desire to protect one’s future pulling the characters in competing directions.

Heinrey also carries the series’ more explicit fantasy elements. Our earlier report on Lee Jong-suk’s bird-transformation scenes explores his comments about the visual-effects work behind the prince’s unusual ability, adding production context for viewers discovering the character through the adaptation.

The story extends beyond its central quartet through the people who serve and influence them. Our guide to Choi Dae-hoon’s McKenna and the supporting cast introduces the aides and nobles whose loyalties help shape the royal households.

What Comes After the Opening Episodes

According to Edaily, the series brought its premiere forward to November 3 after originally planning a November 4 launch. The opening comprises four episodes, with subsequent installments released in pairs on Wednesdays as part of a ten-episode run.

Wikitree also reports that Disney+ Korea has released a preview for episodes five and six, focusing on Navier standing her ground despite Sovieshu’s warning. That promotional direction keeps attention on her response to the pressures around her, while the remaining episodes will show how those decisions develop beyond the initial marriage crisis.

Editor’s Note: The No. 2 position cited here is FlixPatrol’s worldwide Disney+ TV-show ranking for November 5, not a ranking across every streaming service. Country-level overall charts and TV-only charts are separate categories and should not be combined into one measure.
