Annie, a member of rookie group All Day Project and a member of the Shinsegae family, found herself in an unexpected situation shortly after returning to Columbia University for the spring semester.

The idol recently resumed classes at the Ivy League school and has been actively sharing her student life with fans through live broadcasts while studying.

Studying Live and Sharing Campus Life

During a live broadcast on January 24, Annie studied for her classes while chatting with fans. She showed her coursework, explaining that each class required nearly 30 pages of reading and careful note-taking.

Throughout the session, she focused on her studies, occasionally chatting with fans and offering to share her notes with anyone who might take the same class in the future. Her relaxed student vibes drew warm reactions from fans.

School Email Address Leaked

However, Annie later revealed that her Columbia University email address had been discovered and shared, leading to a flood of fan messages sent directly to her school account.

She politely asked fans to stop using her university email, explaining that it made it difficult to find important messages from professors and school administrators.

“If you want to send me messages, please use other platforms,” she said, adding that while she appreciated the kind words, her school email should remain for academic use only.

Annie also joked that fans who wanted to meet her on campus should study hard and get into Columbia themselves, earning laughter and praise for her witty response.

She assured fans that she would greet them politely if recognized on campus, but noted that she might not always be in perfect condition while attending classes.

From Shinsegae Heiress to Ivy League Student

Annie is the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group chairwoman Lee Myung-hee and the daughter of Chung Yoo-kyung, vice chairwoman of the group.

She previously revealed that her family only supported her idol dream after she successfully gained admission to Columbia University. After debuting with All Day Project, she temporarily paused her studies and has now returned to complete her final semester.
