BTS has added another major milestone to its record-breaking career as the music video for ‘Save ME’ officially surpassed 800 million views on YouTube, nearly a decade after its release. The achievement marks the group’s 10th music video to cross the 800 million view threshold, reaffirming BTS’ enduring global popularity.

According to BigHit Music on February 1,, the ‘Save ME’ music video exceeded 800 million cumulative views at around 2 a.m. KST. The track was originally released in May 2016 as part of BTS’ special album ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever’, making the milestone especially notable given that nearly nine years and nine months have passed since its debut.
‘Save ME’ is widely recognized for its emotional tone, blending BTS’ expressive vocals with a clean, atmospheric sound. BigHit Music described the track as one that continues to receive steady love from listeners around the world, despite the passage of time. The music video further amplified the song’s impact through its use of a one take filming technique, allowing viewers to focus fully on the synchronized performance of all seven members without interruption.
With ‘Save ME’ joining the 800-million-view club, BTS now boasts 10 music videos that have reached the milestone. The first was ‘DNA,’ which crossed 800 million views in August 2019. Since then, a series of global hits including ‘Boy With Luv,’ ‘Fake Love,’ ‘MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix),’ ‘Dynamite,’ ‘Blood Sweat & Tears,’ and ‘Butter’ have followed. Prior to ‘Save ME,’ the most recent BTS video to achieve this feat was ‘Dope,’ which reached 800 million views in January last year.
The timing of the milestone coincides with heightened anticipation for BTS’ upcoming activities. The group is set to release its fifth full length album, ‘ARIRANG,’ on March 20, followed by a large scale outdoor comeback performance at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21.
Ahead of the event, accommodation demand in central Seoul has surged dramatically. According to travel platform Yeogiotte, reservations for hotels in the Jongno and Jung districts for March 20 and 21 have increased by approximately 450 percent compared to the same period last year, with many five-star hotels near Gwanghwamun already fully booked.
BTS’ upcoming album is already showing strong momentum. ‘ARIRANG’ surpassed 4 million pre-orders within just one week of opening sales, while Spotify’s pre-save feature recorded over 2 million saves within four days of its launch before any tracks were officially released.
