G-Dragon once again captivated France with a performance that transcended music, fashion, and dance, closing one of the country’s most prominent charity events for the second consecutive year and reaffirming his status as a global cultural icon.

This year’s appearance carried added significance as it was once again extended by Brigitte Macron, France’s First Lady and chair of the hospital foundation behind the charity. The invitation underscored G-Dragon’s growing recognition within France’s cultural and philanthropic circles.
Sharing the lineup with international stars such as Christina Aguilera, A$AP Rocky, and Future, G-Dragon stood out by closing the gala an honor reserved for artists who best represent the event’s spirit and impact. Following the broadcast, France 2 described him as a “K-pop legend” and “an artist without borders,” spotlighting his performance as the evening’s defining highlight.
G-Dragon’s stage was praised for its artistic cohesion rather than spectacle-driven excess. The performance opened with ‘DRAMA,’ accompanied by renowned former Paris Opera Ballet étoile Aurélie Dupont. Her refined ballet movements visually extended the emotional restraint of G-Dragon’s live vocals, creating a seamless dialogue between sound and motion.
The atmosphere shifted dramatically with ‘TOO BAD,’ which featured French hip-hop duo Les Twins. Known for their selective collaborations, Les Twins cited their shared values of freedom and artistic energy as the reason they accepted G-Dragon’s invitation. Their improvisational chemistry unfolded naturally on stage, blending hip-hop dynamics with global pop sensibility. A reworked ‘Lady Marmalade’ element further grounded the performance in Parisian cultural context. French media praised the collaboration as “the most artistic moment of the night,” highlighting how ballet, hip-hop, and contemporary music coexisted without hierarchy.

Styling played a critical role in the performance’s reception. G-Dragon wore a custom blue Chanel jacket paired with a red scarf, subtly referencing the colors of the French flag. He completed the look with a one of a kind necklace, ‘Bandana Royal,’ created exclusively for him, reinforcing his reputation as an artist who treats fashion as narrative rather than ornament.

G-Dragon’s Paris appearance comes ahead of a busy schedule. From February 6 to 8, he will hold his first-ever solo fan meeting, ‘2026 G-DRAGON FAM MEETING [FAM+ILY: FAMILY: FAM I LOVE YOU],’ at KSPO DOME in Seoul, before continuing to Yokohama and Bangkok.
