LE SSERAFIM has received critical recognition after their hit single ‘SPAGHETTI (feat. j-hope of BTS)’ was nominated at the 23rd Korean Music Awards, one of South Korea’s most respected music ceremonies.

The Korean Music Awards committee announced on February 5 that ‘SPAGHETTI’ is a contender in the Best K-Pop Song category, placing the group among artists recognized for musical quality and artistic achievement rather than commercial performance alone.
Released in October 2025, ‘SPAGHETTI’ stands out for its alternative punk-pop sound and unconventional lyrical approach. The track compares LE SSERAFIM’s lingering presence in listeners’ minds to tangled strands of spaghetti a metaphor that quickly became a defining element of the song’s identity.
Members Sakura and Huh Yunjin participated in the songwriting process, adding a personal layer to the group’s musical narrative. The song’s repetitive hook and quirky structure helped it resonate with listeners across different markets.
Beyond critical recognition, ‘SPAGHETTI’ also demonstrated notable global reach. The song surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify within seven weeks of release, signaling strong international engagement.
It further marked a milestone for LE SSERAFIM by debuting at No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching No. 46 on the UK Official Singles Chart, the group’s highest placements on both charts to date.
Established in 2004, the Korean Music Awards are known for prioritizing originality, musical depth, and long-term impact. Winners are selected by a panel of critics, journalists, and industry professionals, making nominations a significant marker of artistic credibility.
The 23rd Korean Music Awards ceremony will be held on February 26, with the event livestreamed through the official Korean Music Awards YouTube channel and Melon.
