G-Dragon has officially confirmed what fans around the world have been waiting to hear BIGBANG will make their comeback in 2026 to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
The announcement came directly from G-Dragon himself during his first-ever solo fan meeting, held over three days from February 6 to 8 at KSPO Dome in Seoul. Speaking openly to fans, he shared both excitement and sincerity about the group’s long-awaited return.
On stage, G-Dragon told fans that BIGBANG’s comeback is officially planned for this year, adding that he is looking forward to it not only as a member, but also as a fan. He emphasized that all members share the same feelings and anticipation, asking fans to “walk the flower path and wait just a little longer.”
The moment quickly spread across Korean and global fan communities, marking the first clear public confirmation of BIGBANG’s return since the group’s last release.
BIGBANG last promoted as a group in April 2022 with the single “Still Life.” Since then, members have focused on individual paths, making the upcoming 20th-anniversary comeback especially meaningful for long-time fans who have followed the group since their 2006 debut.

According to industry sources, BIGBANG is expected to begin their anniversary era with major global activities, including a possible appearance at Coachella, one of North America’s largest music festivals. Additional international promotions are also reportedly under discussion.
G-Dragon’s solo fan meeting series drew around 40,000 fans in Seoul alone. He is set to continue meeting fans in Yokohama (Japan) from February 13 to 15, followed by Bangkok (Thailand) on February 21 and 22.
As BIGBANG approaches two decades in K-pop history, their confirmed return is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated music moments of 2026 not just a comeback, but a milestone.
Fans, for now, are doing exactly what G-Dragon asked: waiting, together.
