ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon has shared his thoughts after completing a series of high-profile duties in Milan as a cultural ambassador for the 2026 Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics, describing the experience as one that will stay with him forever.

Sunghoon’s first major responsibility was participating in the Olympic torch relay, which took place near Piazza Bolívar. The moment carried particular significance given his background as a former figure skater, symbolizing a bridge between his athletic past and his current role as a global artist.
On February 6, Sunghoon was also invited by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to attend the opening ceremony red carpet, marking his official presence among international representatives and dignitaries.
Beyond ceremonial appearances, Sunghoon made time to support Korean athletes in competition. He attended the figure skating team short program on February 7 and the women’s 1,000-meter speed skating final on February 9, cheering on Team Korea from the stands.
His presence drew attention from both domestic and international media. Two rounds of local interviews were held during his stay, with journalists from Italy, Greece, and other countries joining Korean outlets to cover his activities.
Reflecting on the experience, Sunghoon described the trip as deeply personal.
“Through the torch relay and watching the competitions, I was reminded of the passion and memories I felt during my own days as an athlete,” he said. “It’s a precious experience that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”
The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee also emphasized the meaning of his participation, noting that Sunghoon’s history as a figure skater added emotional depth to his role. “Having Sunghoon with us made the journey even more meaningful,” the committee said, expressing hopes that his support would inspire strong performances from Team Korea.
While fulfilling his duties in Milan, Sunghoon continues to balance his ambassador role with ENHYPEN’s global schedule. The group recently opened a large-scale music experience exhibition in Tokyo titled ‘House of Vampire: Dive Into ENHYPEN Chronicle,’ further extending their presence across international cultural platforms.
