A Historic First for K-Pop

According to their agency, NMIXX will appear as a special guest at Pabllo Vittar’s block party during the Brazilian Carnival, which kicks off in São Paulo on February 15 (KST).

In Brazil, “block parties” refer to large-scale street celebrations that form the heart of Carnival festivities. Known for their massive crowds, high-energy performances, and open-air atmosphere, these events are a defining feature of the country’s cultural identity.

NMIXX’s participation marks a milestone, as no K-pop act has previously joined a Carnival block party. Their appearance signals the growing global reach of K-pop, particularly in Latin America, where the group has steadily built a strong fanbase.

Reunion with Pabllo Vittar

The performance also brings a reunion with Brazilian pop star Pabllo Vittar, with whom NMIXX collaborated on the track “MEXE” in August last year. The upcoming stage will mark their first time performing together in approximately six months, heightening anticipation among both Korean and Brazilian fans.

The agency expressed confidence in the group’s impact, stating that NMIXX, already supported by a loyal Brazilian fanbase, is expected to further demonstrate their popularity through this historic appearance.

Expanding Global Presence

NMIXX’s Carnival performance adds to an already active year for the group. Recently, they were nominated in five categories at the 23rd Korean Music Awards, underscoring their continued recognition within the industry.
