Since its debut in 2021, Single’s Inferno has consistently expanded the global footprint of Korean unscripted content. Season 1 became the first Korean variety show to enter Netflix’s Global Top 10 (Non-English TV) chart. Season 2 followed with four consecutive weeks on the same chart, while Season 3 reached new heights in 2023, remaining in the Global Top 10 for five weeks and ranking in the Top 10 across 31 countries.

Season 4, released in 2025, recorded the highest first-week viewing hours in the franchise’s history at the time, further solidifying the show’s worldwide popularity. Most recently, Season 5 which aired from January through early February 2026 generated strong buzz online and was widely described by viewers as the “most intense season yet.”

A Format That Continues to Evolve

Single’s Inferno centers on singles stranded on a remote island known as “Inferno,” where the only way to escape is by forming a couple. The show blends romantic tension, strategic decision-making, and emotionally charged conversations, creating a format that has continually evolved with each season.

Producers Kim Jae-won, Kim Jung-hyun, and Park Su-ji expressed gratitude toward fans for the continued support.

“We are able to begin a new season thanks to viewers who have consistently shown love for Single’s Inferno,” the producers said in a statement. “We will listen carefully to audience feedback and work hard to make Season 6 even hotter.”

Raising the Stakes Once Again

While specific details about casting, location changes, or format adjustments have not yet been revealed, expectations are high following Season 5’s record-setting attention. Each season has introduced new twists, stronger personalities, and heightened emotional stakes — a trend viewers anticipate will continue.

With Season 6 now officially in production, the dating battlefield on “Inferno” is set to return — and if history is any indication, it may be the most competitive chapter yet.

Further updates regarding premiere timing and casting announcements are expected in the coming months.
