Grammy-winning producer and DJ Diplo has praised BTS’s Jungkook, calling him “a perfect voice that doesn’t need Auto-Tune.”

In a recent interview with U.S. entertainment outlet TMZ, Diplo spoke about working on BTS’s upcoming album ARIRANG, drawing particular attention to Jungkook’s vocal ability.
“Jungkook? He doesn’t need Auto-Tune. He has a perfect voice,” Diplo said, describing the singer as a “complete artist.” The remark quickly gained traction online, with several international media outlets and music platforms highlighting the producer’s comments across social media.
This is far from the first time Jungkook’s vocals have drawn acclaim from world-renowned musicians.
Charlie Puth, who collaborated with Jungkook on Left and Right, previously described his voice as “remarkably perfect.” Coldplay’s Chris Martin also publicly complimented Jungkook’s vocal performance during recording sessions, calling it “excellent.”
More recently, Jungkook’s performance of “Soda Pop” for the animated project K-pop Demon Hunters drew attention online. Original vocalist Andrew Choi praised him as “a true vocalist,” noting the natural and effortless quality of his singing.
Diplo’s comments now add another major industry name to that growing list.
Diplo confirmed that he participated in the production of BTS’s upcoming album ARIRANG, though specific details about his role have not yet been disclosed.
The collaboration between BTS and a Grammy-winning global producer has heightened anticipation for the release. With Diplo’s endorsement of Jungkook’s vocal ability, expectations surrounding the project have only intensified.
