Stray Kids’ I.N Donates ₩100 Million on His Birthday, Extending Quiet Support to Cancer Patients

I.N of Stray Kids marked his birthday with an act of generosity, choosing to give back in a way that reflects his long-standing commitment to meaningful impact. According to JYP Entertainment, the artist donated ₩100 million on February 8, his 25th birthday, to support vulnerable cancer patients in Korea.

A Birthday Defined by Giving

Rather than centering the day on celebration, I.N framed the occasion as an opportunity to share the love he has received. In a statement, he explained that the donation was inspired by gratitude toward fans and a desire to offer comfort to those enduring long and difficult treatments.

The donation was delivered to the National Cancer Center, where it will be used to assist patients facing financial hardship with treatment costs. A portion of the funds will also support psychological care programs for children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment, addressing both physical and emotional recovery.

“I hope the love I’ve received from fans can be passed on,” he shared, adding that he wished the donation could make even a small difference in warming someone’s day. He also expressed his sincere hope for patients’ recovery, saying he wanted the contribution to reach them as a source of hope and courage.

Continued Commitment to Philanthropy

This gesture is not an isolated act. I.N has consistently participated in charitable giving, building a record of quiet but steady support. In 2024, he became the youngest-ever member of the Green Noble Club, a high-value donor group operated by ChildFund Korea, at just 23 years old.

He has also previously donated ₩100 million to Samsung Medical Center on his birthday last year and contributed to recovery efforts following wildfires in South Gyeongsang and North Gyeongsang provinces, as well as fire damage in Hong Kong. Each effort has reinforced his approach to philanthropy focused on continuity rather than recognition.

Stray Kids Continue Global Activities

While I.N’s personal gesture drew attention, Stray Kids continue to expand their global presence as a group. The band is scheduled to perform at major international festivals, including The Governors Ball Music Festival in the United States on June 6, and Rock in Rio in Brazil on September 11.
