Actor Park Sung-hoon addressed his return to television following past controversy, saying he has been approaching both his work and personal life with greater caution.
On February 26, Park attended the press conference for JTBC’s upcoming weekend drama ‘Efficient Dating for Singles’ at The Link Seoul Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Guro-gu.

Speaking in front of reporters for the first time in a while, Park admitted feeling nervous. “It’s been a long time since I stood before the press, so I feel tense,” he said. “Compared to before, I’ve been living and working with a more careful and serious attitude.”
The drama marks his first project since controversy arose in 2024 after an adult-content parody image was briefly uploaded and later deleted from his social media account. At the time, his agency stated the upload was accidental and that the actor was reflecting on the incident.
Park explained that several factors influenced his decision to return with ‘Efficient Dating for Singles.’ “I’ve been a fan of Han Ji-min, and when I heard she was attached to the project, I really wanted to work with her,” he said. “I’ve played many intense and rough characters in the past, but this is more of a relatable, everyday-life drama. I thought it would be an opportunity to show a different, lighter side of myself.”
‘Efficient Dating for Singles’ tells the story of a woman who decides to pursue love and goes on blind dates, meeting two men with very different charms. As she navigates confusion and attraction, she begins to discover what genuine love truly means.
The series stars Han Ji-min, Park Sung-hoon, and Lee Gi-taek and is set to premiere on February 28 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
With his return, Park appears focused on rebuilding momentum emphasizing a measured approach both on and off screen.
