Go Youn-jung is set to show a completely different side of herself in the upcoming JTBC drama “We Are All Trying Here.”
On March 6, the production team released new still images from the series, offering a first look at the actress in her new role.
The drama, whose Korean title translates to “Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness,” explores the inner struggles of people trying to find peace while constantly comparing themselves to more successful friends.

In the series, Go Youn-jung plays Byun Eun-a, a film producer working for a production company called Choi Film.
Within the industry, she is known by a striking nickname:
“The Axe.”
The name comes from her brutally honest script reviews. Her feedback is said to hit writers like an axe striking down sharp, direct, and impossible to ignore.
Despite working under a cunning company CEO, Eun-a never backs down and maintains a strong, confident presence in the workplace.
But behind her fearless exterior lies a character dealing with hidden anxiety and emotional instability.
One detail in the newly released stills has already caught viewers’ attention.
Eun-a occasionally experiences sudden nosebleeds, hinting that something deeper is going on inside her mind and life.
The unexpected symptom is expected to become an intriguing element of the story, raising questions about the emotional pressures she faces.

For this role, Go Youn-jung appears with a noticeably more natural styling.
Instead of glamorous makeup or flashy outfits, she wears simple clothing and minimal makeup to portray the everyday life of a film producer.
Her calm but piercing gaze in the stills reflects Eun-a’s sharp insight into people and stories while also suggesting the complex emotions she keeps hidden.
According to the drama’s production team, Go Youn-jung has been successfully capturing the layered personality of the character.
They shared:
“Go Youn-jung portrays the character’s complex nature with great stability and depth. Her delicate performance will leave a lasting impression on viewers.”
With its exploration of jealousy, ambition, and personal insecurity, We Are All Trying Here aims to deliver a character-driven story about people searching for meaning in a competitive world.
The JTBC drama is scheduled to premiere in April.
