A Special Message to STAY

This is not just a song but it carries a very personal and heartfelt promise from the members to their fans.

“STAY, now we’ll be the ones to embrace you.”

Over the years, STAY has been described as Stray Kids’ compass guiding them through every stage of their journey. With this release, the group reflects that support back, offering comfort and gratitude through their music.

A Sound Built on Emotion

‘Star, Light (STAY)’ blends band instrumentals with soft piano melodies, creating a warm and emotional atmosphere. The lyrics compare the future shared between Stray Kids and their fans to stars and the universe, emphasizing connection, direction, and presence even across distance.

This isn’t just a song made for fans it’s a song made by the members themselves. Han and Seungmin participated in both writing and composing, adding a more personal layer to the track.

All members also contributed to the cover artwork, each drawing their own version of a star. The final design symbolizes STAY surrounding and guiding the group, reinforcing the theme of mutual support.

More Than Just a Song

Anniversary songs are common in K-pop, but this one arrives at a meaningful point. Eight years into their career, Stray Kids has grown into a global act but instead of focusing on milestones or achievements, this release centers on connection.

The timing is also intentional. Just days after the release, Stray Kids will meet fans in person through their 6th official fan meeting ‘STAY in OUR LITTLE HOUSE’, taking place in Incheon on March 28–29 and April 4–5. The song acts as a bridge connecting the emotional message of the anniversary with the upcoming live experience.

‘Star, Light (STAY)’ isn’t designed to top charts. It’s designed to be felt. And for many fans, that’s what makes it matter most. Because after eight years, Stray Kids isn’t just celebrating time they’re celebrating the people who made that time meaningful.
