J.Y. Park to release new song 'WET' on July 23... Confirmed as the main track for Waterbomb 2026

Park Jin-young will release his new single ″WET″ on July 23 at 6 PM. This new song is a summer track that Park Jin-young is presenting for the first time in about six years since 2020’s ″When We Disco (Duet with Sunmi)″ and has been selected as the main theme song for Korea’s representative summer festival, Waterbomb 2026. Recently, Park Jin-young raised anticipation for the new song by sequentially releasing an online cover and a music video teaser through his official SNS channels. On the afternoon of the 20th, he unveiled five photos that further elevated the atmosphere. In the photos, using a teal background and contrast of light and shadow, he emphasized his solid silhouette and charisma and presence befitting a ″living legend″ through various angles and poses. Regarding the new song ″WET,″ Park Jin-young introduced it himself on July 14 in the ″Reading Comments″ content on Waterbomb’s official YouTube channel, describing it as ″a song that suits Waterbomb and a reggae-ton genre that fits perfectly with summer.″ Through the pre-release challenge and music video teaser, he showcased a relaxed performance, increasing expectations for the new song. Park Jin-young left a strong impression with his intense fashion and stage at Waterbomb 2025 last year, and this year he is also scheduled to perform at Waterbomb stages held in Seoul on July 26 and Busan on August 8. He stated, ″I hope to always remain an energetic and excited performer on stage, like a rookie singer in your eyes,″ and added, ″I really love being a singer.
