NewJeans celebrates 4th debut anniversary with a video of the four members... first video since Daniel's departure

NewJeans announced the resumption of their activities by releasing a video featuring all four members to celebrate their 4th debut anniversary. On the 22nd, special content such as a group video of the four members and new profile photos were posted on NewJeans’s official YouTube and SNS channels. The video featured all four members: Minji, Hani, Haerin, and Hyein. This is the first team-based content released in about 1 year and 4 months since their Hong Kong performance in March last year, and the first since the controversy over the termination of the exclusive contract with their agency, ADOR. NewJeans debuted on July 22, 2022, gaining great popularity both domestically and internationally with songs like ″Attention,″ ″Hype Boy,″ ″Ditto,″ ″OMG,″ ″Super Shy,″ ″ETA,″ ″How Sweet,″ and ″Supernatural.″ However, in April 2024, following a management dispute between HYBE and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, they notified ADOR of contract termination in November of the same year and attempted independent activities. After the court granted ADOR’s injunction request, the members suspended activities after their final performance at Hong Kong ComplexCon in March 2025. Subsequently, Haerin and Hyein confirmed their return to ADOR in November, Hani in December, while Minji only stated that she is ″in positive discussions.″ Daniel was notified of contract termination due to responsibility for leaving the team and recently shared updates through personal SNS. Recently, there were signs of music production related to ADOR and NewJeans at a recording studio in Copenhagen, Denmark.
