WOODZ (Cho Seung-yeon) joins the movie 'Nambul'... transforms into 'First Son,' an archer protecting his family

Jo Seung-yeon (WOODZ) will appear in the film ″Nambul.″ ″Nambul″ is a hard-boiled martial arts action movie depicting the journey of nine warriors with different skills and social statuses during the early Joseon Dynasty as they head to Tsushima Island to rescue prisoners kidnapped by Japanese pirates. Jo Seung-yeon plays the role of ″Cheotnom″ in the film. ″Cheotnom″ is an archer with perfect accuracy who embarks on the dangerous mission to suppress Tsushima Island to support the livelihood of his family left behind in his hometown. The character possesses a strong sense of responsibility toward his family and comrades, showing a desperate belief in protecting everyone on the battlefield. The film ″Nambul″ has confirmed appearances by Lee Byung-hun, Go Yoon-jung, and Lee Do-hyun. With Jo Seung-yeon’s addition, the project is expected to gain new vitality. The film is directed by Lee Mo-gae, who has worked as a cinematographer on ″Seoul Spring,″ ″Excavation,″ ″Hunt,″ ″Opposition Party,″ and ″Emergency Declaration.″ Director Lee Mo-gae has received awards such as the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards Film Division Art Award, the 43rd and 37th Blue Dragon Film Awards for Cinematography and Lighting, and the 31st and 29th Blue Dragon Film Awards for Cinematography. ″Nambul″ is his directorial debut. The production is handled by HYBE Media Corp, with pre-production currently underway aiming for a late 2024 start of principal photography.
