Jo Seung-yeon joins 'Nambul'... transforms into the sharpshooter 'First Guy'

Cho Seung-yeon (WOODZ) will appear in the film ″Nambul.″ Set in the early Joseon period, ″Nambul″ is a hard-boiled martial arts action film depicting the journey of nine warriors of different classes and abilities heading to Tsushima Island to rescue prisoners kidnapped by Japanese pirates. Cho Seung-yeon plays the role of ″Cheotnom,″ a marksman with perfect aim. His character embarks on the dangerous mission to Tsushima Island to protect his family’s livelihood and carries a strong sense of responsibility to protect his family and comrades. The production team expressed expectations that Cho Seung-yeon’s participation will bring new energy to the project. Previously, Lee Byung-hun, Go Yoon-jung, and Lee Do-hyun were confirmed to star in ″Nambul.″ The film is directed by Lee Mo-gae, who has worked as a cinematographer on ″Spring in Seoul,″ ″Excavation,″ ″Hunt,″ ″Opposition Party,″ and ″Emergency Declaration.″ Lee Mo-gae has received awards including the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards for Film Art, the 43rd and 37th Blue Dragon Film Awards for Cinematography and Lighting, and the 31st and 29th Blue Dragon Film Awards for Cinematography. The film is produced by HYBE Media Corp and is currently in pre-production, aiming to start principal photography in the second half of 2026.
