Hwang Jung-eum resumes SNS after a year... shares vacation photos saying "Preparing a new look"

Actress Hwang Jung-eum has resumed her social media activities after about a year. On the 30th, Hwang Jung-eum posted a photo and video on her social account with the message, ″Hello, this is Jung-eum. It’s been a really long time since I last greeted you.″ The released photos showed her spending a summer vacation with her two sons, holding their hands at the travel destination. She also shared a selfie to update her status, revealing a peaceful daily life. In her post, Hwang Jung-eum said, ″I have been spending each day with a grateful heart and steadily preparing a new side of myself. I would be truly thankful if you watch over me a lot and send warm support as well. Always grateful.″ On her story, she uploaded a YouTube promotional poster with the phrases ″Back to being myself!″, ″Confidently, honestly, freely,″ along with the message, ″Please watch a lot♥.″ After the embezzlement controversy in May last year, Hwang Jung-eum took a period of self-reflection and stopped social media activities except for posting a tribute when the late Lee Soon-jae passed away in November last year. Later, in May, she started communicating with the public by launching a YouTube channel and also completed shooting a new profile picture. Hwang Jung-eum married a non-celebrity who is one year younger in 2016 and has two sons, but after announcing a divorce lawsuit in February 2024, she divorced last May. Along with the news of the divorce, it was revealed that she embezzled about 4.34 billion won from her one-person agency’s funds, which she fully repaid. Taking this into consideration, the court sentenced Hwang Jung-eum to two years in prison with a four-year probation in September last year.
