Cortis surpasses 15 million followers on Instagram... fastest record among K-pop groups

CORTIS has surpassed 15 million followers on their official Instagram, demonstrating the growth of their global fandom. BigHit Music announced on the 8th that CORTIS’s official Instagram account exceeded 15 million followers on the 5th. This is the fastest record among K-pop groups that debuted in the last five years, achieved in about one year since their first post on the official channel in August last year. During this period, CORTIS continued their growth by setting multiple records both domestically and internationally. CORTIS’s influence on social media was not limited to Instagram. As of 10 a.m. on the 8th, their TikTok followers reached 15.82 million, and their YouTube subscribers totaled 6.24 million, marking the highest number of subscribers among K-pop boy groups that debuted in the last five years. This expansion of fandom was influenced by their activities on the global stage. On the 1st, CORTIS performed in front of about 50,000 people at the large U.S. music festival ’Lollapalooza Chicago,’ and videos of the performance and live skills quickly spread through social media, leading to an influx of new fans. Their music chart performance has also been steady. The title track of their second mini-album, ’RedRed,’ entered Spotify’s ’Weekly Top Songs Global’ chart for 15 consecutive weeks and maintained the number one spot on the ’Weekly Top Songs Korea’ chart during the same period. It also ranked on the U.S. Billboard ’Global 200’ and ’Global (Excluding U.S.)’ charts for 14 consecutive weeks.
