Lim Young Woong, 10th Anniversary Fan Cafe Thank You Message: "Started with About 20 Early Fans"

Singer Lim Young Woong expressed sincere gratitude to fans on the occasion of his 10th debut anniversary. On the 8th, Lim Young Woong posted a lengthy message on the official fan cafe Hero Era, sharing his thoughts on the 10th anniversary of his debut. Looking back on his debut, he said, ″Ten years ago, I thought the word ’debut’ did not suit me,″ and explained that it all started with releasing a few songs and producing a few CDs without grand stages or flashy promotions. Lim Young Woong recalled feeling inadequate to call himself a prepared singer and that the debut day was an ordinary day without much significance. He also expressed special gratitude to the fans who were with him during his unknown days. Lim Young Woong said, ″I will never forget the fans who arrived two hours early wherever I went, hung banners, blew up balloons to hand out, and shouted my name.″ He mentioned that in the early days, the fan cafe had about two to three hundred members, but the number of people who actually ran alongside him was only about a dozen to twenty. Recalling the fans who supported him even before appearing on TV Chosun’s Mr. Trot, Lim Young Woong expressed his thanks, saying, ″You treated me like a star when no one knew me yet and filled my empty heart.″ He added, ″I am only now realizing that every breath of yours—the breath you took while sweating in the hot air and blowing balloons with cold hands on the cold floor—was the wind that brought me this far.″ Furthermore, Lim Young Woong said, ″Meeting Mr. Trot made me who I am today, but ultimately, you made me the best,″ and expressed sincere thanks for choosing him among countless singers and waiting for his songs. He continued, ″The chant from 10 years ago, ’I will be the best someday.’ Looking back now, it seems that was not my own vow but a promise you made to me in advance,″ and pledged to be someone who sings by the fans’ side for a long, long time. Lim Young Woong concluded his message with, ″I hope it will be long and beautiful without sadness, bright every day without darkness, and that you will be healthy and happy. I love you, Hero Era.″ Lim Young Woong debuted on August 8, 2016, with the single ″I Hate You.″ He gained public recognition by winning TV Chosun’s Mr. Trot in 2020 and has since established himself as a leading solo singer in Korea. Lim Young Woong is scheduled to hold his second stadium concert, ″I’m Hero - The Stadium 2,″ at Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province from the 4th to the 6th of next month.
