Hong Min-ki, dating violence and private life exposed... Agency "Completely denies and will take legal action"

Actor Hong Min-ki has been embroiled in allegations related to dating violence and personal life issues. On the 19th, his agency, Fable Company, issued an official statement fully denying the allegations and announced plans for legal action. The agency stated, ″The certified documents and posts publicly shared by Ms. A on social media contain numerous claims that are not true,″ and added, ″To prevent further misunderstandings and damages, we will take legal action.″ They also revealed plans to take all necessary civil and criminal measures regarding stalking due to repeated contacts and approaches, as well as defamation caused by spreading false information. According to the agency, Hong Min-ki and Ms. A dated from around April 2026, but trust was broken after it was confirmed that Ms. A met other people during the relationship. Despite the actor expressing his intention to break up several times, Ms. A repeatedly contacted and approached him unilaterally. The agency claimed that Ms. A exhibited irrational behavior such as visiting the actor’s home late at night, placing stickers on the front door CCTV camera, and kicking the door, and added that they have secured related video evidence. Ms. A exposed on her social media the experiences she had while dating Hong Min-ki, alleging physical violence such as threatening by throwing soju bottles on the street, hitting shoulders, and grabbing the neck; unauthorized access to KakaoTalk messages; riding a scooter while intoxicated; disparaging fans; insulting fellow actors and production staff; and signs of abuse and neglect of a pet dog. She also claimed that after their breakup, Hong Min-ki showed abusive language and violent behavior and attempted physical contact. Ms. A stated that she informed her parents of these facts and took legal steps, including sending certified documents. The agency accused Ms. A of using Hong Min-ki’s celebrity status to exert pressure, reporting that she made statements such as, ″I’m just suing regardless of the truth,″ and, ″The truth doesn’t matter because there’s too much to lose even if I never insulted him.″ The agency said they will ensure that the facts are clarified through objective evidence and proper procedures. Meanwhile, Hong Min-ki has appeared in various works including U+ Mobile TV’s ″It Has Become Night,″ tvN’s ″Love Is on the Single Bridge,″ TVING’s ″Study Group,″ MBC’s ″Bunny and Brothers,″ Netflix’s ″Trigger,″ and KBS2’s ″Dear Thief.″ Recently, he played the role of elite public health doctor Hyun Chi-yeon in ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama ″Doctor Somboi.″ Born in 2002, Hong Min-ki began his acting career in 2020. The multiple allegations raised so far, including assault, verbal abuse, and pet abuse, are claims made by Ms. A, and the facts have not been confirmed. The agency urged the public to refrain from indiscriminate speculation or the amplification and reproduction of false information.
