Shinji clarifies rumors about double jaw surgery: "No bones were touched"... reveals dental treatment and X-rays

Shin Ji of Koyote directly addressed the suspicions of double jaw surgery raised after her weight loss. On the 19th, Shin Ji released a video titled ″The story many of you were curious about, I will tell you now″ on her YouTube channel. In the video, she revealed that she started dental treatment while taking a break from YouTube activities. She mentioned that some people misunderstood her jaw joint issues as double jaw surgery. Shin Ji explained that her molars were originally raised to prevent her jaw from receding backward. She extended the length of her teeth due to discomfort while eating, but since many thought it looked unattractive, she underwent treatment to slightly grind down the upper and lower teeth. She added that during this process, her molars actually became higher, making it look uncomfortable when she closed her mouth. Shin Ji said, ″Even I wondered, ’Why does my mouth look like this?’″ and visited the dentist to lower the height of her molars and create new teeth. The dental specialist in charge explained that due to Shin Ji’s jaw joint abnormalities, she had an open bite oral structure where her teeth did not close properly, which likely made singing difficult as a singer. Regarding the suspicions of double jaw surgery, the specialist emphasized, ″We are not surgeons, so it was somewhat flattering that people thought we performed double jaw surgery with this simple technique. I never touch the bone. I only did prosthetic treatment.″ The specialist further explained that as the open bite was corrected, Shin Ji’s facial image changed from a cute look to a more mature one. Regarding why closing her mouth feels awkward, the specialist added that it is because the muscles she has used for over 40 years have changed, and it takes about one to two years to get used to it. Shin Ji shared an X-ray showing no signs of double jaw surgery and stated that as a 28-year veteran since her debut, the passage of time, weight loss, and dental treatment combined to cause misunderstandings. She said, ″I never thought people could misunderstand, but it somehow became accepted as a fact. There were even talks about side effects of double jaw surgery, so I wanted to clear up those misunderstandings.″
