BTS 'Arirang' ranks 21st on the Billboard 200... 'SWIM' ranks 5th on the global chart and begins tour

BTS has remained on the US Billboard main album chart for 21 consecutive weeks with their fifth studio album, ″Arirang″ (ARIRANG). Billboard released its latest chart on August 22, with ″Arirang″ ranking 21st on the Billboard 200. The album debuted at number one on the April 4 chart and held the top spot for three consecutive weeks. Since then, it has stayed on the chart for 21 straight weeks, maintaining long-term success. The agency Big Hit Music reported that the album also performed well on detailed charts, ranking 7th on Top Album Sales, 24th on Vinyl Albums, and 32nd on Top Streaming Albums. The title track ″SWIM″ ranked 5th on the Global (excluding US) chart, which aggregates streaming and digital sales from over 200 countries and regions worldwide, maintaining a Top 10 position for 21 consecutive weeks. It also placed 12th on the Global 200 chart. The agency explained that this demonstrates the group’s music power evenly distributed worldwide, not limited to any specific region. Other tracks from the album also entered the charts. ″NORMAL,″ whose music video and Korean version were released on the 17th of last month, ranked 36th on the Global (excluding US) chart and 57th on the Global 200 chart. Additionally, five tracks in total, including ″Body to Body″ (130th), ″2.0″ (154th), and ″Hooligan″ (157th), appeared on the Global (excluding US) chart. Meanwhile, BTS began their second North American tour on August 1-2 in East Rutherford, USA. Recently, they became the first Korean artist to perform at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, and they are scheduled to continue the tour at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium on August 22-23.
