To celebrate the 10th anniversary of singer Lim Young Woong’s debut, the fan club ’Hero Era’ carried out a donation relay totaling 544.33 million KRW across 53 cases. This donation took place nationwide and overseas from July to August. Hero Era delivered 527.89 million KRW in cash and goods worth 16.44 million KRW to various places including hospitals, welfare facilities, organizations for the disabled, child and youth support institutions, free meal centers, and support organizations for vulnerable groups. The donation relay began on July 4th when the Ulsan Hero Era Hero Room donated 5 million KRW to Ulsan University Hospital. Following this, support continued for the Chungbuk Disabled Football Association, shantytowns, rehabilitation treatment costs for disabled children, free meal centers, and treatment costs for children with pediatric cancer and rare diseases. Fan clubs from various regions including Busan, Daejeon, Gyeonggi, Jeonnam, and Gangwon participated. In particular, a scholarship fund called the ’Woong Dream Scholarship’ worth 250 million KRW was established, with fans from 32 regions nationwide coming together. At the ceremony held on July 31st at the Nurimaru APEC House in Haeundae, Busan, scholarships were awarded to about 200 students. This accounts for nearly half of the total donation amount. This is not the first time Hero Era has donated. They have consistently provided funds and goods on occasions such as Lim Young Woong’s birthday, debut anniversary, and during disasters like floods. Direct activities such as blood donation certificate donations, briquette deliveries, and volunteering in shantytowns have also been continuously carried out. The cumulative donation amount compiled by the fan club has already exceeded 5 billion KRW.
