Girls' Generation's Yuri reveals 20 years of yoga experience on 'I Live Alone'... challenges beach sunrise yoga

Girls’ Generation member Yuri showcased her 20 years of yoga experience on MBC’s variety show ″I Live Alone.″ In episode 661 of ″I Live Alone,″ which aired on August 21, Yuri revealed her life in Jeju Island. In the broadcast, Yuri started her day by waking up at 3 a.m., before sunrise, and emptying the dehumidifier water tank. She then packed food such as cherry tomatoes and eggs, prepared her bag, and went out. Yuri headed to the beach with her same-age friend and yoga instructor ″Dandi,″ whom she met in Jeju. The two shared that they first practiced yoga together at Gwangchigi Beach. Upon arriving at the beach, Yuri and her friend laid out their mats and began yoga while watching the sunrise. Yuri said, ″It’s already been about 20 years since I started yoga. Yoga is part of my daily life and lifestyle.″ She also mentioned that the appeal of yoga lies in waking up the body and being able to slowly communicate with it. Yuri showed her affection for yoga by having a dedicated yoga room at home. During the broadcast, the Rainbow members reacted to hearing that ″Dandi″ is a yoga instructor with comments like, ″There’s an ’Lee Hyori Award’ for yoga practitioners,″ among various other responses. When Kian84 asked, ″Has Jeju Island formed a sisterhood with yoga? They do it more than in India,″ Yuri replied, ″From what I see, Jeju seems like the 8th district for yoga.″ Yuri demonstrated advanced yoga poses and even inverted postures, proving the skills she has built over 20 years. Meanwhile, Yuri debuted with Girls’ Generation in 2007 and is also active as an actress, appearing in dramas such as ″Bossam: Steal the Fate,″ ″Good Job,″ and the movie ″Dolphin.″
