NEXZ releases fourth mini album 'So Scene'... contains 6 tracks, all members participated in production

Nexz made a comeback by releasing their fourth mini-album, SAUCIN’, on the 24th. The album’s title combines the English word ″SAUCE″ and the progressive suffix ″-ING,″ expressing their ambition to add Nexz’s unique charm to their music. The album includes a total of six tracks: the title song ″SAUCIN’,″ ″LOCO,″ ″APPETITE,″ ″UPGRADE,″ ″20 NOW,″ and ″ALIENS.″ Nexz expressed their determination to capture more listeners’ tastes through various genre experiments. Regarding the listening points of the title track ″SAUCIN’,″ Yuki said, ″I think the intro performance of ’SAUCIN’ that expresses sauce with seven bodies is a key point to enjoy. It’s striking at a glance and fascinating from any angle.″ So Geon recommended listening to the album’s tracks while driving or taking a walk. Especially about ″20 NOW″ and ″ALIENS,″ he said, ″They are more immersive when listened to in places where you can see nature or the sea under a clear sky. These songs remind me of the trip to Jeju Island with the members.″ Yoo expressed, ″When I first heard ’SAUCIN’, the energy was so strong that I imagined everyone running and playing together on stage or at a festival. I hope the audience naturally moves their bodies and enjoys it with us.″ Haru compared the flavor of the new album to ″lemon,″ explaining, ″There are fresh songs like ’SAUCIN’ and ’APPETITE,’ and charming songs that keep coming to mind like ’LOCO’ and ’UPGRADE.’ The other two songs have a tangy charm. Like the lemon flavor that perfectly suits summer, the album has both fresh and tangy appeal.″ Tomoya, Haru, and Hue participated in writing and composing the third track, ″APPETITE,″ and leader Tomoya also contributed to the lyrics and composition of the fifth track, ″20 NOW.″ Tomoya said, ″’APPETITE’ literally expresses our appetite for music. Just like when you see delicious food and want to keep eating, we wanted Nexz’s music to make listeners want to hear it again and again.″ He added, ″It also means that we are still hungry and aiming for higher goals.″ Haru said, ″I usually listen to fast-tempo hip-hop house music, so I tried to put the vibe I like into the song.″ Nexz is a group formed through a Korea-Japan joint audition and is now in their third year since debut. In April, they made a comeback about four months after releasing ″Eumtzuk.″ Yoo described, ″If Nexz at debut was sweet, in 2026 we are savory.″ Yuki and Seita compared Nexz’s performance to ″salty.″ Yuki explained, ″The thrilling and tingling feeling you get from watching our performance is closest to the taste of salt.″ This summer, Nexz will be active alongside senior groups like Big Bang, NCT 127, and Alphadriveone. So Geon emphasized Nexz’s charm in their performance, and Hue said that all members have great passion for the stage and try to bring different emotions and energy to each performance. Leader Tomoya said, ″Just being able to work at the same time as many senior and junior artists will be a good stimulus.″ He added, ″This album includes the members’ direct participation and reflects our thoughts on the music and performance we want to show at this moment. We want to firmly imprint our unique color on more people.″
