Aftermath of Park Wi controversy, Kim Giri and Song Ji-eun also suffer from malicious comments...SNS restriction measures implemented

Controversy surrounding YouTuber Park Wi is affecting those close to him as well. Following Park Wi’s wife Song Ji-eun, comedian Kim Ki-ri, who introduced the two, has also been receiving malicious comments on his SNS, leading Kim Ki-ri to recently restrict the comment function on his SNS. On Kim Ki-ri’s SNS, comments are disabled on most posts except for the one announcing the birth of his son. A notice stating ″The comment function for this post has been restricted″ is displayed on the posts. This measure appears to be a response to the influx of critical comments on Kim Ki-ri’s SNS following the controversy involving Park Wi. Known as the ″matchmaker″ for the couple Park Wi and Song Ji-eun, Kim Ki-ri once gave Song Ji-eun a book by Park Wi, which led to their initial acquaintance. Song Ji-eun revealed that after receiving Park Wi’s autobiography from Kim Ki-ri, she actually met Park Wi at the church Kim Ki-ri attended and grew closer to him. Park Wi also shared the story of meeting Song Ji-eun through Kim Ki-ri on a broadcast. On the 14th, Park Wi had an accident where his wheelchair got caught on the foot of a social service worker while disembarking from a KTX train, causing him to fall. He released CCTV footage of the incident on his YouTube channel ″Wee-racle″ and emphasized the need for safety training. However, despite the on-site worker’s apology, Park Wi was criticized for excessively exposing the incident by releasing the CCTV footage. As the controversy escalated, Park Wi deleted the video and apologized, saying, ″I did not fully consider the position of the worker who did their best to help on site and apologized politely.″ Subsequently, he faced subscriber loss, event cancellations, and voluntarily resigned from his position as a Seoul city ambassador. During this process, Kim Ki-ri’s SNS received sarcastic comments such as ″Would you have introduced Park Wi even if Song Ji-eun were your younger sister?″ and ″Is Park Wi such a good person that you introduced him to others?″ There were also mocking comments mentioning Kim Ki-ri’s recently born son. Despite having no direct connection to the Park Wi controversy, Kim Ki-ri and his family became targets of criticism. Additionally, past issues related to Park Wi, such as school violence allegations, controversy over his younger brother’s speech at his wedding, and his mother gifting used clothes to Song Ji-eun, were reexamined, spreading criticism to Kim Ki-ri as well. As malicious comments toward those around him and his family, who are unrelated to the controversy, continued, Kim Ki-ri closed his SNS communication channels.
