Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon reveals the group dormitory where she has stayed for about 19 years. Even after all the members have left for their own residences, Hyoyeon continues to live alone in the dormitory. A special bond with the dormitory caretaker, who has been with her for a long time, will also be introduced. Hyoyeon and the dormitory caretaker have maintained their relationship for 21 years since Hyoyeon was in high school. During her appearance on JTBC’s ″Please Take Care of My Refrigerator″ last April, she revealed that although her family home is in Songdo, she stays in the dormitory to manage her schedule. Hyoyeon described the dormitory as a ″comfortable sanctuary,″ adding, ″They always make sure I don’t go hungry by preparing meals. There’s no better place than this.″ On the same day, on the channel ″Hal Myung Soo,″ she mentioned the advantages of the dormitory, such as being able to rest comfortably and having meals provided. She also said, ″I believe saving money is the only way to survive,″ citing practical reasons. She explained that when she first signed with SM, there was a promise to ″take care of me like a second mother,″ which has been kept until now. Hyoyeon candidly shared, ″Sometimes when I have no income, I feel like, ’Should I even be here?’″ Born in 1989, Hyoyeon debuted as a member of Girls’ Generation in 2007, releasing numerous hit songs such as ″Into the New World,″ ″Gee,″ and ″Tell Me Your Wish.″ She has continued team activities for about 19 years and is currently active as a solo singer and broadcaster.
