Girls' Generation unit HyoriSoo tops Korean charts on YouTube and music video with debut song 'Skibidi'

Girls’ Generation’s new unit HyoriSoo has reached number one on YouTube’s Trending Music Korea chart with their debut song ″Skibidi.″ The performance video also ranked first on the daily popular music video Korea chart. HyoriSoo is a project formed following the ″Fake Kim Hyoyeon″ content released on Hyoyeon’s personal YouTube channel, ″Hyoyeon’s Level Up Hyo’s Level Up.″ In this content, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Choi Sooyoung competed for the main vocal and center positions, and this combination led to the actual release of music and music show activities. HyoriSoo’s debut song ″Skibidi″ features a transition from house to hip-hop and conveys the cheerful energy of the three members along with the message, ″Let’s make our own new path.″ The song entered the real-time and daily rankings of major domestic music charts immediately after its release. HyoriSoo will officially begin their debut activities by performing the title track ″Skibidi″ and the B-side ″Lowkey In Love″ on MBC’s ″Show! Music Core,″ airing on the 5th. Girls’ Generation’s unit activities began in 2012 when Taetiseo, consisting of Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun, released their first mini-album ″Twinkle.″ Later, Taeyeon, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Yoona promoted as Oh!GG. HyoriSoo differentiates itself from previous units by originating from variety content and highlighting the unique personalities of the three members. Meanwhile, Tiffany of Taetiseo described HyoriSoo as ″scary″ during a YouTube broadcast and, after hearing HyoriSoo’s recording results, said, ″I wish Girls’ Generation had more works like this for our 20th anniversary comeback.″ Regarding the possibility of Taetiseo’s comeback, she stated that the agreement of Taeyeon and Seohyun is necessary.
