'Immortal Songs' National Trot Festival Part 2, Seongri's First Appearance, Regional Representatives Including Shinyu and Jang Hanbyul Gathered

KBS 2TV’s ’Immortal Songs’ will air on September 5th as part two of the ’National Trot Festival Special,’ featuring trot stars from all over the country. Han Hye-jin X Eun Ga-eun representing Gyeongsang, Shin Yu representing Seoul, Shin Sung X Nam Kung-jin representing Chungcheong, Kang Hye-yeon X Yang Ji-eun representing Jeju, and Seong-ri X Jang Han-byul representing Global Hwagaejangteo will take the stage as representatives of their respective regions. The Global Hwagaejangteo team was formed by Seong-ri from Andong, Gyeongbuk, and Jang Han-byul from Brisbane, Australia. Both are talented artists who recently ranked 1st and 3rd respectively in competition programs, and they chose Songgolmae’s ″By Chance I Met You″ for this ’Immortal Songs’ performance. Seong-ri is appearing on the ’Immortal Songs’ stage for the first time in 13 years since debuting as an idol singer in 2012. He expressed his emotion, saying, ″I have been an avid listener since middle school, and this moment feels like a dream. This could be the first and last time.″ MC Shin Dong-yup encouraged him, saying, ″It is your first time, but it cannot be your last.″ Seong-ri and Jang Han-byul will compete against Shin Yu, who was a judge on the competition program, in this broadcast. While showing affection for the two, Shin Yu joked, ″You said you have never performed a duet together in competitions, but you are challenging your first duet on ’Immortal Songs’? Then you two probably won’t get along well.″ After appearing on the competition program, Seong-ri also revealed, ″Every time I go to a restaurant, I receive a lot of complimentary service, so I feel the popularity.″ On this day, Shin Yu will reinterpret Patti Kim’s ″Chowoo″ in her own style for her stage. Jin Sung praised Shin Yu’s performance, saying, ″The ability to arrange a grand song in one’s own style is thanks to Jin Sung’s outstanding musicality,″ and MC Shin Dong-yup complimented Shin Yu’s vocal skills, asking, ″Have you been attending a singing academy in Jongno lately?″ The performance by Seong-ri X Jang Han-byul received positive responses from the audience and the female performers in the waiting room.
