Kim So-young announced the termination of the ’Book Development Lab Book Club’ service, which she had operated for about six years, and shared her feelings with fans and customers. On the 4th, Kim So-young revealed through SNS, ″The Book Development Lab Book Club service, which I have operated for about six years, will end with the last subscription in October 2026.″ She added that although it was a decision she had been contemplating for a long time, it might come as sudden news to the members. On the 5th, Kim So-young again mentioned on SNS that the announcement was sudden and explained the difficulties she had faced and her desire to continue running the book club for as long as possible amid changes in the publishing and printing markets. Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that the cookie business Kim So-young operated has also closed. She explained the reason for closing the business, saying, ″Even with high sales, it was running at a loss.″ Kim So-young joined MBC as an announcer in 2012 and resigned in 2017. Since then, she has launched a personal brand and has been active as an entrepreneur. Recently, she secured an investment worth 7 billion KRW from a well-known investment company. She married fellow former MBC announcer Oh Sang-jin in 2016, gave birth to a daughter in 2019, and a son last April.
