If fans could invite one Korean celebrity to join their family table during Chuseok, BTS’s V would be their first choice.
V ranked No. 1 in STARPOLL’s survey asking users which male star they would most like to spend the Chuseok holiday with. The poll ran from August 25 through September 7 and attracted a total of 127,411 votes.
The BTS member received 77,997 votes, accounting for 61.2 percent of the total. That gave him a commanding victory over a field that included prominent singers, actors and idol stars.
Actor and 2PM member Lee Junho placed second with 37,093 votes, while actor Byeon Woo Seok followed in third with 8,818. Singer Lim Young Woong ranked fourth with 1,312 votes, and actor and singer Park Ji Hoon completed the top five with 623.
The candidates also included BTS members Jin and Jimin, G-Dragon, Ji Chang Wook, Kim Seon Ho, Sung Han Bin, Young Tak and Choo Young Woo.

The survey is a lighthearted fan vote, not a scientific measurement of public opinion. Still, its theme carries a warmer meaning than a conventional popularity ranking.
Chuseok is one of South Korea’s most important holidays. Families traditionally travel home, share meals, pay respects to their ancestors and spend time together over several days.
Choosing someone as an ideal Chuseok companion therefore suggests more than wanting to see a celebrity perform. Fans are imagining a person they would enjoy having around during long meals, family conversations and the quieter moments of a holiday.
In V’s case, the result may reflect the contrast fans enjoy in his public persona. He can deliver polished fashion appearances and commanding performances, but he is also known through BTS content for his playful humor, relaxed conversations and appreciation for food, art and music.
Those qualities make it easy for fans to imagine a less glamorous scene: V sitting at a crowded family table, tasting songpyeon, taking photographs and turning an ordinary holiday gathering into a memorable one.
V’s latest result continues an interesting pattern.
In a similar STARPOLL survey conducted in September 2024, he was also selected as the male celebrity fans most wanted to spend Chuseok with. At the time, he received 45,258 votes, ahead of Byeon Woo Seok and Lee Junho.
His 2026 total rose to 77,997 votes, showing that the appeal of “Chuseok with V” has remained strong across multiple holiday seasons.
BTS has also regularly shared official Chuseok greetings with ARMY through group videos and livestreams. Those seasonal messages have become part of the group’s long-running relationship with fans, allowing international audiences to learn about the holiday while joining in the celebration from afar.

STARPOLL is an entertainment platform built around fan participation, offering celebrity news, community features, performance information and voting events.
That means the result primarily reflects the dedication and organization of the fans who participated. It should not be read as a nationwide public survey or an objective ranking of celebrity popularity.
Even so, winning 61.2 percent of more than 127,000 votes is a powerful display of fan enthusiasm.
V did not merely finish first. He received more votes than every other candidate combined, turning a playful holiday question into another reminder of the scale of his individual fandom.
For the fans who voted, the fantasy is simple: one long Chuseok weekend, a table filled with Korean holiday food and Kim Taehyung arriving as the guest everyone hoped would show up.
