Minami of the group Lysenne revealed that she lost 18kg before her debut. On the 11th, Lysenne members Won-i, Minami, and Liv appeared in the video ″War with Fat: The Truth of 20kg″ released on the YouTube channel ″Hello, this is Won-i, nice to meet you,″ sharing their experiences related to weight loss. In the video, Minami mentioned that her weight change before debut was ″not 20kg,″ explaining that Liv lost 13kg and she lost 18kg. Previously, in a video released in July, Won-i had mentioned that Minami’s weight difference was about 20kg. Minami received a lot of criticism regarding dieting during the debut preparation process and also revealed the difficulties she faced during costume fittings. She shared her experience of being embarrassed when her jeans wouldn’t go up past her hips, saying, ″I forced myself to pull the pants up,″ and added, ″I squeezed into them and went out, but I felt so bad that I went to the car and cried alone.″ She also said, ″I cried, so I had to redo my makeup, and the shoot was even stopped,″ describing the tough situation at the time. Minami added, ″I couldn’t breathe well and had no energy at all. The diet was such a huge stress.″ She said that the stress she experienced in daily life led to dieting, and ″I cried almost every day.″ Afterward, Minami and Liv started dieting in earnest, losing 18kg and 13kg respectively, and debuted as Lysenne. The two honestly revealed the psychological burden they experienced during the significant weight loss process and disclosed the hardships that were hidden after their debut.
