&TEAM to release second mini album 'Mark on Me' on the 8th... Showcases in Seoul today

Group &TEAM released their second Korean mini-album, ″Mark on Me,″ at 6 p.m. on the 8th. This album adds the emotion of love to &TEAM’s identity of ″Wolf DNA,″ telling the story of a wolf isolated from the world who meets someone who accepts him and undergoes change. While the previously released first mini-album ″Back to Life″ depicted the process of overcoming wounds and standing up again, this new album portrays a character who, after being rejected and distancing himself from the world, gradually changes upon meeting someone. The title track ″Mark on Me″ is a pop song that transitions from a restrained piano-centered introduction to an intense chorus. The members express emotional lines by alternating between low, deep tones and refreshing high notes. The lyrics convey a heartfelt plea to open their hearts to the person who accepts even their wounds, asking, ″Tame me,″ and to leave an imprint of ″yours″ on their scars. The performance expresses the emotional changes of the song through restrained movements, gazes, and facial expressions instead of powerful group choreography. The album includes a total of six tracks, including the title track: ″Good Boy,″ ″Lovejang,″ ″Accelerate,″ ″Empty,″ and ″Night to howl!″ ″Good Boy″ is a hip-hop song featuring dynamic 808 beats and deep bass, blending innocence and wildness. ″Lovejang″ recreates the 1990s vibe with retro synthesizers, while ″Accelerate″ delivers a free and comfortable atmosphere in the pop R&B genre. ″Empty″ is an alternative rock ballad that sings of longing for the one who filled their heart, accompanied by calm guitar melodies. ″Night to howl!″ is a 2000s American pop-punk style song that pours out suppressed emotions. The album features domestic and international producers such as Griff Clawson, Johnny Goldstein, Bang Si-hyuk, Soma Genda, and Park Moon-chi. The title track ″Mark on Me″ was produced by Griff Clawson, Johnny Goldstein worked on ″Good Boy,″ Chiji Stevens on ″Accelerate,″ Dwillie on ″Empty,″ and Soma Genda and Park Moon-chi contributed to ″Lovejang.″ Additionally, Maika Fremnas, Jo Yoon-kyung, Chamein, Jude, and Danke also participated in the songwriting. &TEAM debuted in Japan in 2022 and has expanded their activities as HYBE’s first global group. Their Korean debut album ″Back to Life″ recorded initial sales of 1.22 million copies and won three music show trophies. Their third Japanese mini-album ″We on Fire″ achieved million-seller status for three consecutive releases. Ahead of the new album release, &TEAM held their first solo dome concert at Saitama Belluna Dome in Japan on the 5th and 6th, performing 29 songs over about four hours. On the same day, they held a showcase at SBS Prism Tower in Mapo-gu, Seoul, officially starting their Korean activities.
