Jungkook 'GOLDEN' enters Spotify weekly chart for 149 weeks, longest entry—first solo in Asia to achieve this record

BTS Jungkook’s first solo album ’GOLDEN’ has entered the Spotify ’Weekly Top Albums Global’ chart for 149 consecutive weeks. This is the first and longest record for an Asian solo artist’s album. Jungkook’s ’GOLDEN’ ranked 172nd on the chart compiled from September 4 to 10. During the same period, it added 19.39 million streams on Spotify, bringing the total cumulative streams to over 7.45 billion. This album includes tracks that have surpassed 1.2 billion streams on Spotify: ’Seven,’ ’Standing Next to You,’ and ’3D,’ making it the first Asian artist album to have three tracks with over 1.2 billion streams. Additionally, recently ’GOLDEN’ achieved three tracks with over 500 million streams each on YouTube Music, marking the first time for a K-pop solo artist’s album. Jungkook’s personal Spotify account has recorded a total of 11.49 billion streams, the shortest period for any Asian artist and the first for a K-pop solo artist based on all credits.
